Managing Asbestos – Duty Holder’s responsibility and the Asbestos Remediation Process

A one-day course designed to inform the Duty holders of their responsibilities under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2006. It is estimated there are more than 1.5 million non-domestic properties in the UK; all those with responsibility for managing those premises have a Duty to manage the asbestos present, so reducing the risks to their staff, contracted maintenance personnel and visitors to the premises.

This one-day course explains in simple terms what they should be doing to be compliant with the legislation, what is needed in terms of an asbestos management plan, how to cascade the information out to those who need it and what is involved when a decision os made to remove asbestos from the premises. With a short section on selecting a suitable Surveyor and Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractor, the course makes sense of the minefield of regulations and pitfalls that exist.
